Privacy policy
The short version. If you sign up for the beta, we keep your email address and the app(s) you picked. We use it only to invite you to test, to tell you when the app launches, and to ask for your feedback. No cookies, no analytics, no ads, no selling. Ask us and we delete it.
Who we are
This website is run by Alain Di Chiappari. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at info@faccio.app.
This policy covers the beta signup form for memo, a spaced-repetition app for remembering what you learn. memo is one of the faccio apps.
What we collect
Only what you type into the signup form:
- Your email address.
- The app or apps you want to test (for example "memo").
- The date and time you signed up, and which of our websites you used.
We do not ask for your name, and we do not collect anything else. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking pixels or third-party scripts.
Like every website, our hosting provider handles technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and keep them safe. We do not use this data to identify you, and we do not combine it with your email.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
We use your email to:
- invite you to test the app(s) you picked,
- tell you when they launch, and
- ask for your feedback during the beta.
We do this because you gave us your consent when you ticked the box on the form (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing does not affect what we did before.
We will never sell your email, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing.
Who else handles it
We use two service providers. Each one processes data only on our behalf and under its own data processing terms:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts this website and runs the small function that receives the form.
- Google LLC (USA), through Google Workspace / Google Sheets, stores the signup list.
Both companies may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until the beta of the app(s) you picked has ended and the app has launched, and then for at most 12 more months, so we can tell you about the launch and early-tester offers. After that we delete it. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we do so straight away (and within 30 days at most).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- see the data we hold about you, and get a copy of it,
- correct it,
- have it deleted,
- restrict or object to how we use it,
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To do any of this, email info@faccio.app from the address you signed up with. Every email we send also includes a way to unsubscribe.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to a data protection authority. In Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Children
The beta is for people aged 16 or older. If you are younger, please do not sign up.
Security
The form is sent over HTTPS. The signup list is kept in a private spreadsheet that only we can open.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will email you before it takes effect.
